Student Awards

U-Bora Education Services (U-BES) may present annual awards to students who have made noticeable achievements that align with its mission and values. Some of these awards are:

Platinum Award

Award: Platinum Trophy, and a t-shirt with the U-BES logo

This award is given to a student who, over two consecutive academic years has met the criteria for the Academic Excellence Award.

Academic Excellence Award

Award: Trophy, and a t-shirt with the U-BES logo

This award is given to a student who has scored over 85% on a minimum of 85% of all tests and assignments and who has demonstratively worked to uphold U-BES’ core values of excellence, comportment, honesty, ambition, integrity, and resilience (e-chair).

Academic Growth Award

Award: Plaque, and a t-shirt with the U-BES logo

This award is given to a student who overall has demonstrated significant growth in their learning and who has demonstratively worked to uphold U-BES’ core values of excellence, comportment, honesty, ambition, integrity, and resilience (e-chair). Growth is measured by a sustained 20% increase in marks across all relevant subject areas over an academic year inclusive of the fall, winter, and spring terms.

These awards are given to students who have demonstrated a noticeable improvement in work habits that, if continued, are likely to result in significant academic growth and
who have demonstratively worked to uphold U-BES’ core values of excellence, comportment, honesty ambition, integrity, and resilience (e-chair).

Innovation Award

Award: Trophy, and a t-shirt with the U-BES logo

This award recognizes social and/or artistic and/or technological innovation and creativity. The award is given to students who have demonstrated the excellent application of skills and concepts gleaned from their role as students at U-Bora Education Services to produce social and/or artistic and/or technological projects that may have been created beyond the confines of U-Bora Education Services. Students
must also have demonstratively worked to uphold U-BES’ core values of excellence, comportment, honesty, ambition, integrity, and resilience (e-chair). Applicants for this award will have to submit verification of the project’s exceptional and unique qualities in the forms of video, still photography, and marks. Applicants will also submit an acknowledgment of the project’s exceptional quality from the project evaluator. This acknowledgment will come in the form of the evaluator’s completion of an awards application form made available by U-BES. Finally, the applicant will provide the contact information for the project evaluator.
